Box Tops for Education

Thank you for participating in the Box Tops for Education Program as we just received a mid year check for over $500.  Special thanks to parent Maura Mayo for volunteering her time to managing this ongoing effort.  Truly appreciated and keep on clipping!

EVENTS IN JANUARY

Penny Bingo Night

Please join us for our annual Penny Bingo Night on January 30th at 6:30 in the school Gym.  Special thanks to Parent Debbie Dyer for coordinating this great event again this year.  This night kicks off the annual Pennies for Patients drive at the school for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Special Olympics

Save the Date – Squantum will once again be hosting the Special Olympics in the school gym on Friday, February 10th from 9:00 to 10:30 in the school gym.

Citywide PTO MEETING

The next citywide PTO meeting will be at Broad Meadows on Monday Feb. 13th – Colleen Roberts and Dr. DeCristofaro will speak on Massachusetts’ transition to the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics which is ongoing through 2014, along with a transition to new MCAS tests.

The Squantum School Players

Proudly present Mastering Math: A Sherlock Holmes Problem Solving Mystery.   The performance will be held in the school gym on Thursday, February 16th at 6:00 p.m.

EVENTS IN MARCH

Kindergarten registration for the 2012—2013 school year

Registration for the 2012—2013 school year will be held on March 6, 2012 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the school.   Children who will be 5 years of years of age on or before August 31, 2012 should register at their home school.  If your child presently attends a Pre K program in QPS it will not be necessary to register them as QPS already has the information on file.  The required forms that need to be completed for registration will be available on the QPS website www.quincypublicschools.com.  Please feel free to contact the main office if you need more information.
